Just a few group shots from my fun morning with the soccer all stars.

They did kick the ball to me (by accident), and although I was going to return it them by bending it like Beckham, I didn’t want to show off too much on the field. LOL. The truth is they got skillz, and I didn’t want to embarrass myself. (Reminds me of a time in Judo class when I got flipped and knocked down by a 10-year-old…)

Had a great early morning shoot with a team from the Blount United soccer league in Maryville, Tennessee. We were worried because it had been raining for a couple of days — but luckily, the showers quit right before our photos! Yay!

These super athletes were practicing hard before I arrived, so we thought it would be good to take some time to get silly before the game. Check out this awesome photo (sneak peek!) from today’s session. (More photos to come soon…)

The Hayes Family

Thanks to the wonderful Hayes family for inviting me to their home in Maryville, Tennessee, and letting me be a part of a fun Mother’s Day party! (And thanks to the Hayes family for donating their portrait fee to the American Cancer Society!)

It’s really an awesome thing to be a photographer and get the opportunity to meet a family that really, truly loves each other. You can tell by the smiles on their faces — and I could hear it in their laughter as the played by the pool.

I had the best time yesterday photographing the Hayes Family. They’re wonderful people, and all of them share the best sense of humor ever. The whole family is very spirited, and you can tell that they get energized from being around one another. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.
