Yumday Featured in Forbes: Celebrating AAPI Heritage Month with Gratitude and Joy

I’m beyond thrilled to share some exciting news: Yumday was featured in Forbes as one of 38 “Female-Founded AAPI Brands You Should Know”—and what a meaningful way to kick off AAPI Heritage Month!

You know, when I launched Yumday in 2021, I only sold six curated snack boxes in the first month.

Six.

It felt small, but it meant everything. It was the beginning of something deeply personal—a project born from my love for food, culture, storytelling, and my desire to uplift women- and BIPOC-led brands that often don’t get the spotlight they deserve. I didn’t have a huge strategy in place, just a lot of heart, curiosity, and a vision for something joyful and intentional.

Fast forward to today, and Yumday has grown into something far greater than I could’ve imagined back then.

We’ve worked with powerhouse companies like Amgen and Intuit, mission-driven organizations like the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and sent curated snack boxes to people all around the world. (And I have the battle scars from working with international shippers and customs to prove it!) Every milestone has been built with care, creativity, and deep respect for the communities and brands we serve and celebrate.

To see this work now recognized by Forbes—and to be included alongside such an inspiring list of AAPI women founders—is a true pinch me moment. It’s affirmation that this passion-fueled, purpose-driven path is resonating. It’s also a beautiful reminder that even the smallest beginnings can lead to big, bold outcomes.

I’m so grateful to Anna Haines and Forbes for shining a light on this community of founders who are using their businesses to share culture, build equity, and make change.

And I’m incredibly thankful to the Yumday community for supporting this journey and helping turn an idea into impact.

Let’s continue to celebrate AAPI entrepreneurs not just during AAPI Heritage Month, but every single day.

With joy and snacks,

Lia 💛😋
